Nautical Watch 301 - Oceanfront - Windy Hill Section

Do not book this place if you have children who are happy to be on vacation! This seems to be a spot for the older couples who don't have children. The locals who live there complained that we let our 13 year Olds go to the pool without us. The pool was right outside our door. We had a 3 year old who was excited and ran through the living room a couple of times. Locals complained about that too. Drains in kitchen and bathroom stop up and have to be plunged daily. Garbage disposal didn't work. Sometimes the lights didnt even work. No elevators so be ready to climb stairs over and over again. Beds uncomfortable. Location is great and only steps from the beach. Staff at check in was very nice and the ladies who had to call about complaints were very nice and understanding. We traveled 12 hours to enjoy the West Coast and will never be back because of our experience here.

I first just want to say the location is a great spot, the beach is amazing and right outside the backdoor. However we were delayed at check-in because the unit was still being cleaned. Once we arrived the unit was turned over however there was a lot of sand on the floor, visible dirt on the fan blades and the place could have used some additional cleaning. We were also without tv and internet until the third day of our stay. Some may not think this is important but with 3 kids this is crucial for our morning and evenings. The company did credit us for the inconvenience ($20) however it did not seem quite appropiate for what we were missing during our morning breakfast without the news and nightly winddown. The fridge was also having issues and maintenance came unfortunately they were not able to fix the problem during our stay. We understand things happen however it was frustrating for our first 3 days, and the compensation back seemed like we went thru more issues than what was reimbursed.

In our party we had 4 adult and 3 kids. This condo states it has 3 bedrooms. The bedroom downstairs with 2 double beds which comfortably fit our kids. The 2 bedrooms upstairs was a mess. Once you get upstairs, you have to go through one bedroom to get into the Master bedroom or the bathroom. This was horrible when you are sharing with another couple. There were some things that went wrong but we were compensated for the mess of bathroom water we walked into our first day. Also, we did not have internet the whole week we were there. This is not a unit I would ever go back to.

Overall, the condition of the rental was ok. Started off with quite the surprise when I walked in and noticed large hole/damage in one of the walls. As I looked around, noticed huge gouges/scrapes in another wall along w/a broken sliding glass door handle and handle on the refrigerator that was about ready to fall off. Given these noticeable issues, I double-checked the smoke detectors and found that two were not working/very old. North Beach Realty quickly sent a maintenance person who took pictures of the damaged walls, replaced two smoke detectors, and replaced the broken handle on the sliding glass door, repaired the handle on the refrigerator - not sure how long this will last as the handle started to come loose again toward the end of our stay. The following day noticed the exhaust fans in both bathrooms were not functioning - maintenance ordered new motors and replaced a couple days later. Wi-fi was extremely slow which was an issue since I was working remotely for part of our stay. This property has beautiful views on the main and upper decks - it's time for a remodel and upgrade to the Wi-Fi and this place could be a gem! Thanks to North Beach Realty for their quick response to the issues and to maintenance guy Raymond for his patience working through the "punch list" to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

Overall, our stay went well. There were a few things that needed attention when we first arrived so I would just double check everything to make sure it's good to go before settling in, especially the beds. But otherwise, being close to the beach was great! Having two balconies was nice so our group had the space to enjoy the view. The WiFi didn't really work but out mobile signal was fine plus we were mostly out. Kitchen was nice and spacious. I would come back here.
