beach after being cooped up at home! The weather was perfect and house was great for our family. The only things that were not great were the mouse droppings in a drawer in the kitchen and the need to get more linens from the office. We had expected that if it said it sleeps 11 there would be enough bedding and towels for 11 people. Also, the dishwasher broke but repair was quick!

July 2024 Family Beach Vacation
My family renter High Tide and Low Tide together and we had a great time. Plenty of room for everyone. The front porch of Low Tide was awesome, we spent so much time there in the afternoons. Beds were very comfortable. Only a couple of things that could have been better is 1- water pressure could use some help and the washer and dryer in the shared outbuilding needed 2 rinses to get it all out and at least 2 rounds of drying to get the stuff dry. Also the dryer left some brown marks on some of the family’s light colored clothing and also the towels we tried to wash. All in all we had a great time! Property is close to the beach which was great, no need to drive and get all that sand in your car and no need to pay for parking.

This rental was perfect for a large group on a budget. The house is right close to the beach, accommodating to 10 people comfortably, however is outdated and needs cleaned more thoroughly.
The floors were still filthy when we checked in, the furniture could use updating as there were deep stains on chairs, couches, and the rugs.
If you are looking for a cheaper stay near the beach, this is the spot!

This was a last minute trip so for that this place was appreciated. It is walking distance from the beach which is great. Overall, this place definitely needs upgrades! We got there the AC unit wasn’t working (thankful for the North Beach Realty team for fixing it as timely as they could) but it should have been noticed by the owner or cleaning crew before we got there. The linens were clean but overall the place didn’t feel like it was deep cleaned prior to us arriving. If you are looking for a last minute place this is it but don’t expect luxury style living, it is decent at best.

This location was perfect for our family trip of 11. We all slept comfortable and were within walking distance to the beach. The beach area was not overcrowded, and stores were conveniently close by.

Pet friendly, plenty of space. They DID get our room ready a tad earlier then the 4pm check in- but don’t count on this!! The address leads you to believe the home is on Perrin dr but really, you need to go on Holly dr to get to the property- it’s in the back yard of Perrin. The “porch faces the main property- not really comfortable to sit there when you feel like you’re snooping on the other renters, farther walk from beach then stated.
Downsides were maintenance was not very responsive to the issues we had. Our Wi-Fi didn’t work probably until Thursday; we were set to depart Saturday Am. One set of the blinds fell off the stairwell and hit one of my fellow vacationers. The night before we left, we saw a cockroach on the upstairs bathroom ceiling right outside of the fan vent that looks like it’s going to fall out. The lamps had missing or broken bulbs- so we changed those out ourselves with bulbs from the upstairs dining lighting because of the delay in response from maintenance regarding the Wi-Fi. Not many pots, pans to prepare a meal. The guy who eventually resolved the Wi-Fi issue was very nice. The check in/check out women were ok.

Wonderful place to stay. Fit our needs perfectly. Having the upstairs and downstairs was exactly what we needed. Place was clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again. Close to beach and shopping.

This house has everything you need and lots of space great for multiple family members cozy,comfortable and a 2 min. Walk to the beach,quiet neighborhood and North Beach Realty was great and quickly responded to my questions

I had communication with them numerous times before my stay and they were very prompt, courteous, and informative. Location, location, location. This beach house was in the best neighborhood. Quiet and less than 5 minute walk to the beach, and less than a 10 minute walk to beach stores, ice cream shop and Irish pub. Also 5-10 minute drive to grocery shopping and dining. The home was so large and roomy. All 6 adults there had a lot of room. It could accommodate more people easily. Location was my number 1. Large space was my number 2. If cleanliness is your number 1, this might not be the ideal location for you. Please still note that I would give it 4.5 stars as that was not my major priority. The walls/doors, carpet, handrails, blinds, air conditioners, ceiling fans, outside of fridge were all very dirty. The linens, mirrors, sinks, inside of fridge, toilet and shower, which were my main concern were very clean. I also found it odd that I received a message a day prior to my stay, that I didn't read till I got there that said I was to bring my own toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and dish and laundry detergent. Those had never been mentioned previously in the communications and most VRBO's I have stayed at provide all of those things except laundry soap. We were flying in so I needed to buy all of those things and left the extras so that hopefully the next patron doesn't have to buy them. Only one dish towel and 2 kitchen wash cloths total were provided for the 2 kitchens. No hangers in the closets. I say these things not to complain, because we had a positively lovely stay and I would absolutely stay again. I only say that so the next patrons can come more prepared than I did. We loved the free daily activities and that helped us decide which places to use and all that we did were so fun. That saved us around $115. Wonderful stay, would highly recommend if location and space are your main concerns.

This house was just lovely. My husband, my parents, our 3 kids and our dog had the best time ever. Would love and trying to get another crew together to come back to enjoy the house. We checked in that Wednesday before Thanksgiving the house nice and clean. My mom had everything she needed to cook. We had plenty of space. The cable box in the master wasn't working and due to the holiday I refused to call so waited until Friday and he came right on out and fixed with no problems. This house had everything you need to be away from home.

We had a great week at High Tide. It was close enough to the beach that we would walk out there for a couple hours in the morning, go back to the house for lunch and get out of the sun for a couple hours, and then head back for another hour or two in the afternoon. The property was fairly clean for a rental.
We did find some beer cans under the bed from a previous tenant as we were checking for things we may being leaving behind at the end of our week. The WiFi "router" is actually an extender that connects to the main house on the property to relay the connection. Do NOT rely on this connection if you need to do schoolwork or use a VPN (plan to use your phone as a hotspot instead).

Due to COVID, we chose to eat most of our meals at the house, and the kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, and utensils to do so (including at least 2 crock pots). I did go pick up a delicious steampot from Bimini's Oyster Bar one night. Also ordered a couple pizzas from Benito's Brick Oven one night.

The kids took a private surf lesson from Brandon Todd at Kokopelli Surf Camps. He had them up on the wave on their second attempts. The smiles as they left the ocean that morning were as wide as I've ever seen them. My son and I played a round of golf at River Oaks. And we went to the Broadway Grand Prix for some go-karts early in the day for a couple hours before the crowd sizes scared us off.

Overall, it was a great week, and a great place to get away.

This home was available for a last minute vacation. Great pet friendly home and grassy area for your pets to walk around. Quiet neighborhood and very close walk to beach access.
