Here’s some events taking place on Memorial Day in the Myrtle Beach area.
From Friday morning, May 25, 2012, through Monday, May 28, 2012, there will be a Parade of American Flags along 3.5 miles of U.S. 17 Business through Murrells Inlet. On display will be at least 76 U.S. flags to commemorate Memorial Day.
The following Memorial Day Services will take place on Monday, May 28, 2012 –
11 a.m. at the North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens, at U.S. 17, SC9, SC90 and Nixon Crossroads. Entertainment beginning at 10:30 a.m. by The Rev. Ed Daniels, the Myrtle Beach Regional Pipe Band and the North Myrtle Beach High School Reserve Officers’ Training Corps. Sponsored by North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10804, American Legion Post 186, the Ladies Auxiliary in North Myrtle Beach, the Knights of Columbus from Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, and the Grand Strand Blue Star Mothers Chapter 7.
