Kid Approved Local Halloween Events

Halloween is fast approaching and itâs the time of year for ghosts and goblins and, as youâre sure to discover, theyâre even at the beach. If children are out trick or treating we caution them to be careful (and you too if youâre driving around). There are plenty of kid-approved events in the local area where you can take the kids for a safe celebration of this spooky holiday. Following are a few. Coastal Halloween CelebrationFirst Annual Fright Night Fun GymSaturday - Sunday, Oct. 21 - 22 from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.Thomas Gymnastics at the Beach, 112 Surgeons Dr., Myrtle BeachThis Halloween themed fun gym will be the highlight of your kids weekend while the parents get to have a few hours or even the night to yourselves! Check out all of the fun we have planned for this spooky fun gym night where kids can stay awhile or stay the night:- Haunted Hayride (not so haunted for little ones)- Pumpkin Hunt (each child must bring their own small personal pumpkin)- Bonfire with s'âmores- Costume contests (with prizes!!)- Breakfast will be included for all kids sleeping over night- Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be available for purchase- and free play in our gym all night!Sign up online or stop by our front desk. The Atalaya castle will be the setting for an evening of frightfully fun family entertainment! Enjoy 2 separate haunted house attractions: a not-so-scary maze of creepy rooms and a Haunted Castle for the brave at heart. For the younger children, there will be carnival games, childrenâs crafts, spooky cartoons on the big screen, sâmores, a bonfire, and more! Event admission is $10 for adults, $7 for children 6-15. Children 5 and under are free, but parents, please note: some of the special effects used in the haunted houses may be too intense for younger children. Park Admission is free.
