The Craftsmen’s Classic Arts and Crafts Festival is being held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center on Friday, August 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, August 3 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday August 4 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Festival will feature a variety of artists in a wide array of practices and concentrations.
Tomorrow, Saturday, August 3, the Blues & Jazz Festival is taking place from 12-5 p.m. at La Belle Amie Vineyard. Music from The King Bees and The Shamalama promisses to soothe your soul. Tasty, outdoor cooking will be served along with the wines at the vineyard while the sounds live music fill the air. Bring a chair and a friend or two and sit back and enjoy the summer festival.
The Myrtle Beach Police and Fire Departments and Horry County Police and Fire Departments will square off in their Annual Guns ’n Hoses Softball Game on Sunday, August 4, with proceeds to benefit Project Lifesaver. The game is a fun competition among city and county staff that’s open to the public. Tickets are a $5.00 donation. Gates open at 3:00 p.m. Game one and two will start at 4:00 p.m. between the Myrtle Beach Fire Department and the Horry County Fire Department and the Myrtle Beach Police Department and the Horry County Police Department (two fields). At 5:00 p.m., there will be a Homerun and Base Hitting Competition. The winner of games one and two will play at 6:00 p.m. This event will be fun for the entire family with entertainment for the kids, snacks and drinks. Tickets also are available at the Myrtle Beach Fire Department administrative offices and at the M.L. Brown Building in Conway.
